What's That?

That's a car horn. That's the ice maker dropping a piece of ice. That's a donkey.

These have all been answers to Cole's most asked question these days... "What's that?" Nothing gets past him, and he wants to know exactly what everything is and "What this does?" and "Where this go?" I guess this will warm us up for the infamous toddler "WHY?" stage.

Justin had a few days off from work this week, so we took one morning and went to the Life and Science Museum. We didn't have time to see everything the museum has to offer, but we bought a membership so we will definately be going back. Cole's favorite part was definately the train (imagine that!) and Justin's favorite part was "bonding" with the cow (again, imagine that!). Here's a few pictures from the morning.

Need a laugh?

It's been way too long since I shared some video of the boys on here. One of Cole's favorite things to do lately is say the sounds that the letters make. Here he is showing it off.

Here he is singing the alphabet with a minor (hysterical) brain fart in the middle. How funny is his look when he forgets! He heard the garage door open at the end, which meant Daddy was home, so that was the end of that song!

And here's sweet Kellen showing off his moves!

What's New?

Few new things around here... I guess 2010 will be a year of many changes because this week has already brought quite a few. Kellen has decided to finally let go of furniture and push toys and is walking. He still crawls a lot too, but chooses to walk a lot of the time. Another big change for him this week was losing his morning nap. Both boys now just sleep in the afternoon for about 2.5 hours. Cole has actually started sleeping longer than he used to, which is AWESOME! I feel like we have so much more freedom to go do things now that Kellen doesn't need to be home in the mornings to nap. We're hoping to have more play dates with friends, and check out some story times and things around town.

Cole has really grown up in the last month or so. I just had deja vu when I typed that so I must keep saying that. It's just amazing to me how much they are little sponges at this age and change so quickly! He's really talking a lot, and starting to have an imagination. He is reasoning and "if this, then that" type stuff. It's so neat to listen to the things he comes up with. He is totally Thomas the Train obsessed. We are just a couple days away from having the play mat that was supposed to come with the train table so that we can glue down all the tracks to his train set. He will really love it when it's all put together to stay. No more "Kellenzilla" to knock it all down. He's also really gotten into puzzles and letters lately. He sings the alphabet constantly and can recognize all the letters and say what sounds they make. He makes himself so proud! He got some jigsaw puzzles for Christmas and loves the challenge. He has several peg puzzles for shapes and cars and things like that but he really likes these new jigsaw puzzles. He knows his numbers up to 20, but isn't really into them as much as letters. He doesn't care much about colors either. I know I haven't posted pics in forever so I will try to get some uploaded soon. I just hate how long it takes. I did at least finally send them all out on snapfish, so you've probably seen them all anyway. (That was a good excuse, wasn't it?)

So here's the funniest Cole story from this week. I must warn you that if fart stories offend you, stop reading NOW! Just remember I do live in a house with 3 boys! So Cole so politely passed gas the other day and Justin said "Did you poot (I hate that word!)?" and without missing a beat Cole said "Nope. I farted." Here's another one even more gross, so really here's your warning to stop reading:) Justin let one rip in front of Cole and Cole walked right up to him, stuck his whole arm up through the hole in Justin's jeans at the knee and said "Daddy, fart in there!" How do you not laugh at that?
