The big 5!

All my friends with older kids were right.  Something about turning 5 turns toddler to little boy.  We spent the morning of Cole's birthday putting together his first lego creation; and of course he picked the one with 250+ pieces :)  He stuck with it and did an awesome job.  I couldn't believe how patient and into it he was.  It was a great distraction and way to pass the time until his late afternoon party at Pullen Park.

Suzi and my mom met us there to help me with the party and they helped keep the boys busy while we waited on friends to arrive.

 Cole looks so old in this picture.  He grew like a weed this year.  He is 45lbs and 45in tall; that's 75th percentile for weight and 90th for height!

 Even though they were EXHAUSTED after the marathon of parties, I couldn't say no to letting Cole open his presents when we got home. 

We love you so much, Cole, and are so proud of the little boy you've become.  You are the most loving, thoughtful, and kind little boy I've ever met and I'm so lucky that you're mine.
