Eggs, Carnivals and lots of sweetness

We had a great time at my parent's house for Easter, complete with an egg hunt for the boys. Although I tried as hard as I could to stuff most of the eggs with animal crackers and other "non candy" goodies, I think they came away from the day with more sweets than they've had their whole lives!

Cole was so excited to have someone else's flowers and bushes to water besides our own. He gets a little carried away though, and doesn't understand that too much water isn't such a good thing. Of course Nana couldn't just tell him to stop (because Nana's don't do that, ya know) so she filled up a squirt bottle and let him "water" to his hearts content. We kept saying his arms must be getting so tired squirting that water bottle for hours it seemed, but he sure didn't seem to mind. Justin said he was working on his forearms for baseball (is anyone surprised?).

Here are the boys a couple days before Easter next door dying eggs with the neighbor girls. These 2 of KK are priceless. Unfortunately they are the only pictures I was able to take because about 3 seconds after these pictures Kellen decided that if he couldn't stick his hands in every mug and steal every egg that he would just have an absolute melt down. Dying eggs this year was definately a flop- better luck next year. I do think Cole would've enjoyed it, had his brother not caused such a scene. Doesn't he just look mischevious?

My favorite sweet moment of the extended Easter weekend with my parents was sweet Kellen in a sweet ice cream mess. He and Nana shared an ice cream cone and the pictures just make me smile.

This is my favorite! That sh*t eatin' grin is typical Kellen style!

My mom found these cute hats and couldn't resist. I can't believe they left them on!

Cole didn't quite get the concept of finding all the eggs and putting them in the basket before opening them. He had to open each one as he found it.

Aunt Suzi helping K find some eggs.

He caught on pretty quickly!

Is it totally obvious that we are tickling them in attempt to get some smiles? Didn't work so well.

Cole and his buddy, Leah, at the Wake Forest PD Carnival.

I caught ONE smile!

Have to add this in: I'm finishing up this post while the boys watch one of their favorite TV shows, Chuggington, and Kellen kept grabbing my face and turning it to him saying something that I couldn't decifer. I finally realized, that he was pointing to the laptop saying "round round." The song "Right Round" by Flo Rida has always been Cole's favorite song and now Kellen is equally obsessed with it. It does have a fun beat to dance to, but once they are old enough to understand what the words mean, we will definately have to find a new dance song! We usually listen to it off the iPod dock, but I guess he remembered it's on the computer too. So cute! They are totally rocking out RIGHT NOW! They make me smile:)
Cole's latest funny saying is "It's pretty hard to say." We're working on saying some words that he pronounces incorrectly, the right way. Sometimes after a few attempts at the correct pronunciation, he kinda cocks his head to the side, squints his eyes and says: "It's pretty hard to say." I wish I had it on video because it's hysterical!

Rough Housing

The boys decided the other night to have a little wrestling match...
Ouch!
Trying to look innocent.

Back and forth they went

Right before an attack... perfecting his baywatch run:)

Couldn't believe I captured this! I call unnecessary roughness on that!

KK got his revenge! It's the sneak up from behind choke move.

Can they stay this sweet and pure forever? Please!

You Are My Sunshine (s)

My only sunshine (s)

...you make me HAPPY when skies are gray. You'll never know dear (s)...

...how much I LOVE YOU. Please don't take my sunshine (s) away.

My Monster :)

That gesture means 'I love you,' right?
