I think every kid has had their share of rides in a clothes basket, but I was so excited for Justin to be home doing the pushing so that I could get a few pictures of one of our favorite after bath games!

Valentine's Cupcakes and the Clothes Basket Rocket
For Valentine's Day we let Cole make cupcakes. He was so excited to help and checked on them in the oven about every minute. We were hoping to share some of our goodies with the neighbors, but there was a little too much finger lickin' during the decoration process, so we kept them for ourselves :) Oh, he was SO proud of himself!

Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?
This series of books are Cole's favorite and he loves helping read them. He is so camera shy and once he realized that the camera was filming him, he got really embarrassed. Cute nonetheless! Sorry the quality is awful.

Snot
Snot. Snot. Snot. That's what has been going on around here lately. 10 days of snot and coughs for both boys, then a 4 day grace period (sterilization of toys process), now Kellen is on day 6 of snot...AGAIN. So far Cole is ok, but I know his time is coming. We have spent WAY to much time inside the 4 walls of this house.
If I said the boys enjoyed the snow, I'd be lying. They wanted to love it, I think, especially Cole, but they really weren't feeling well and they just didn't. Looking at the snow fall from inside, keeping a close eye on it as it coated everything in sight, talking about the snow- all that was really exciting and fun. Feeling the wet, cold snow hit them in face, not being able to walk well in it, the wind that was freezing cold(and having a cold), not having water proof gloves to really be able to play in it (oops. But really... who knew Dicks would sell out of all gloves!)- yea none of that was overly exciting for them.
Here's Cole throwing a snowball. You can see it if you look closely.

I can't even remember what my last post was about, so I don't even know where to start. Kellen is running. Well, at least he thinks he's running; maybe it's more of a very accelerated waddle/march/speed walk. Doesn't that image just make you laugh? When he gets really excited about it, he grins so big that he closes his eyes (I remember Cole doing the same thing) and it's pretty cute to watch. He's gotten much braver with his climbing skills lately, and will move things around in order to climb on them to reach his ultimate destination. He is currently perfecting his animal sounds and other various words. Some of his new favorites are: more ("MO"), peek-a-boo ("Pee Boo"), NO ("nnnnno"), Bella ("Bauwa"), up (uhh yea this one he says "UP") and copying Cole with some of the sounds letters make. We've all really enjoyed more morning outings since Kellen has given up his morning nap. The Life and Science museum has become one of our favorites.

Here are a couple of my favorite conversations with Cole lately. Me: "Hey baby- who is Mommy's favorite boy whose 2?" (keep in mind I ask him this on a regular basis because he gets so proud and pats his chest and shouts "ME!") On this particular occasion he scrunched his forehead, put his hand on his chin as if deep in thought and answered, "Hmmm, let me think" and then peered back at me out of the corner of his eye and started laughing. Witty that boy!
While brushing his teeth before bed...Me: "Are you sleepy?" Cole: "No, me not sleepy." Me: "Oh, well what are you then?" (I like to ask this type of question because he comes up with some really cute stuff- no exception here) Cole: "Me not sleepy, me happy!" I still answer the question "What's Mommy doing?" about 100 times a day.
Here's a couple pictures of Cole and his puzzles.
I wanted to include this picture because #1 we love spending time with my good friend Susan and her sweet babies Lily and Landon, but #2 because it's hysterical to me. I can't help but picture them as teenagers hanging out outside the pizza parlour drinking a Coke and sharing a laugh.
