                                                                       Cole's class

The girl next to Cole in the black is his buddy, Ericka.  Last year she spoke only Spanish and Cole took to her immediately saying "she's so nice."  They bonded playing chase on the playground even though they couldn't really communicate with words.  This year, Ericka speaks English pretty well and they are even better friends.  Warms my heart how accepting children are.  So proud of my boy for seeing past the "shell" of something different to a fun little girl.

Our neighborhood buddies Coy and Carter share Halloween birthdays, so our Halloween traditions are made even sweeter with extra fun celebrating these brothers.  This is the pre trick or treating party.

These kids are NOT excited at all ;-)

Kellen is eyeing my neighbor who has a scary mask on.  He would stare at him so fretfully, but then beg him to put the mask back on if he took it off.
The kids would hit 3 or 4 houses at a time, then jump in their chariot (trailer) and ride to the next group of houses.  Star treatment courtesy of Coy and Carter's grandpa!

NC State Fair 2012

We managed to find a day in our busy work schedules to make it to the NC State Fair this year and we were definitely glad we did.  We rode the Ferris Wheel, all three boys ate their body weights in fried food, and we visited all the animals.  I was so proud of C & K for hanging in there the whole afternoon and walking such a long way. I hope they enjoyed the view on their $20 ferris wheel ride!

They were like a couple hyenas with that turkey leg!

Cole chose to watch, but Kellen jumped right in there to milk the cow :)
