Tball 2012

Kellen doesn't have to sit in the dugout anymore!! The boys are playing on the same 3/4 year old team this year for tball and it's the most adorable thing I've ever watched.  It's 2 times the laughter with them both playing :)  I'm sure this will be the first of many posts full of pictures of their cute little tooshies in baseball pants and oversized hats and tshirts so you've been warned! Cole is the tall one in the middle and K is far right.  Don't underestimate that little boy... he packs a punch!
Down and ready!  I wish they paid this good of attention all the time :)
Cole throwing the ball back to coach.
 Kellen's turn
 Mini Justin

"Are you done with the camera, Mom?"
 All hands in... "Go Yankees!"
Kellen and Cole both going for the ball :)

Props to the Easter Bunny ;-)

The good 'ole Easter bunny brought C & K soccer goals for which they were very grateful.  As soon as I got them put together they took turns being the goalie (by far their favorite position) while the other tried to score.  I've been slack about grabbing the camera these days, but this was too sweet to miss.

Hammin' it up
Of course there had to be a few wrestling matches added in there :)  All in good fun.

And what fun would it be without some pouting?  Kellen wasn't ready to relinquish his position as goalie :)  So I did what any good mother would do... I took his picture and showed him how ridiculous he looked :)

They had just been on their bikes... which explains the helmet...

The beast was looking calm and innocent, so she made it into this photo shoot :)
I was pretty impressed by how long playing soccer the right way lasted, considering their attention spans, but they moved on after awhile to flying leaps over the ball.

Day at the Zoo

We finally got the opportunity to have a family day, so we took advantage! I didn't have to work, Justin took his 'Monday catch-up day' off, the boys were out of school for Spring Break... ZOO TIME!

The gorillas were definitely my favorite :)

The Giraffes were a hit, too. Probably because there weren't many animals actually awake ;)

Kellen wasn't impressed with the photo shoot, but I was having deja vu from last year with this shot so I made him sit and force a smile :) Their long lanky legs are a sure sign of how much they've grown since the last time they sat on that rhino.

Kellen forcing himself to oblige :)

Checking out the ostrich. Kellen said he "looks really weird and has really big eyes"

Taking a breather and enjoying the view

The boys thought the road runner was pretty cool. Sorry guys, you're on your own on that one...birds are GROSS!

Hello Brown Bear

Seriously, Cole, STOP growing up so fast!

Getting a better view.

Taking a little break for a snack

Sure would've been nice if the alligators would've showed some sign that they were in fact real. BORING!

Can't really see it, but gigantic Cougar back there...you guessed it, SLEEPING!

Cole took this picture. Pretty impressive :)

Justin kept making goofy faces so Cole took it upon himself to take control of this photo opportunity :)

We had a great time and were so happy to all be together for the day. I think the boys must've asked 10 times if we were sure no one had to go to work that day :)

Mystery Readers and Good Friends

March was literacy month at the boys' preschool. Cole's class had a mystery ready each day of school and it was a surprise to the kids who it would be. Since I knew Cole would be much more excited to have his Nina be the mystery reader than me, we arranged for her to come and read The Lorax to his class. I wish I captured a picture of his face when she walked in because he was just gushing with pride and joy to see her coming into his classroom.

Thanks, Nina... you were a hit!

Coy and Carter are the boys' buddies in our neighborhood, and I got some pictures of them doing what boys do when they were over for a play date. I'm so thankful for such great friends that live so close!

Boys will be boys :)

Love this one :)
