December was a whirlwind with Justin basically living at work, preparing for the holidays, Kellen's 2nd birthday, our weekend before Christmas bash with the Benbow clan, and at Aunt Suzi's house, an extended white Christmas weekend with my family, and a "Christmas on New Years Eve" day with Grandma and Grandpa Rogers and Uncle Joel. I am so thankful for such wonderful family and friends. We feel so loved, and hope that we manage to give just as much love as we receive. This time of year always manages to center me. No matter how challenging some days are with our work schedules, or how raising 2 toddler boys can make us feel a little crazy, I wouldn't trade this life with anyone else's. It's a constant struggle to make time to keep up with all the things that are important to me, and a constant worry about whether or not we are doing everything we can to raise kind, smart, giving, and well-rounded little boys. But you know what... at the end of the day we are happy; we are healthy; and we have so many people in our lives to love who love us back. That's what this time of year reminds me of. Among many other things, we have parents who would do anything for us and are present for our kids, aunts who go above and beyond any reasonable expectations, great grandmothers for our kids who are absolutely irreplaceable, siblings who have become friends, cousins who have become like sisters, and friends who have become family.
