Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Cole has finished his first season of T-ball! I'm sure many more seasons are in our future between the two boys and we can't wait! The leagues in Wake Forest don't start until age 5, so we were excited to find out that Granville County starts with a 3/4yr old age group. Cole was one of the youngest, but he did great and loved playing. Justin outfitted him in the best of baseball gear and might have possibly been more excited than Cole :) Check out my little slugger and the South Granville Athletic Association Orioles!!

Oh yea, those are definately under armour cleats!! My husband is out of control :)

The hats and t-shirts were youth sizes, but definately not toddler, so they swallowed the little guys.

I always thought baseball players had cute butts!!

Hitting a bomb!

Check out that concentration! Once I convinced Justin that he can't expect his 3-yr old son to have perfect baseball form, he was pretty proud of his "dropping the bat head too early" swing ;)

Coach Tim helped them get lined up and ready to hit.

Love this one :)

We are so proud of you Cole!

5 Boys at the Beach!

Most people thought we were crazy (including our husbands), but my good friend Helen and I thought it was a great idea to take our 5 boys to Emerald Isle for a few days. We left the "big boys" at home and set off for what we knew would be a crazy adventure. Helen and I aren't the "sit and relax" type, so although it was a busy few days we truly enjoyed it. It was so worth any trouble for our 5 boys to have a fun getaway to the beach with friends. We definately couldn't have done it without each other, and took a tag team approach to wrangling the boys. We decided we should definately make this a tradition!

They were timid for about 5 minutes (hence my little leech) but then enjoyed every minute of being in the sun, sand, and waves.

Sweet baby Hudson, 7 months old, was the most laid back and sweet little guy the whole trip. He napped in his stroller and was content to hang out with us on the beach.

The first day at the beach we took 2 chairs, lots of towels, a million beach toys, and umbrella, stroller, big cooler, etc etc etc. We minimized each day because of the hassle of hauling all the stuff from the car to the beach and back! We definately got our exercise in! Snack time...

Cooper (2 days older than Cole) was a little timid about the ocean, so he stayed up by the blanket for the first 2 days, but warmed up and enjoyed the waves the last day we were there. Hudson's personal pool was the perfect solution for him to cool off!

Searching for some cool sea shells. We kept busy ;)

The porch swing was a hit, and the boys had a blast grabbing Hudson's toes to make him laugh. I definately got my fix of baby snuggles with this sweet boy!

One lady asked us as we were hauling our stuff to the car if we were "Military Wives." I guess she didn't think anyone in their right mind would willingly take 5 boys 5 and under to the beach without our husbands to do the heavy lifting. We thought that was pretty funny :)

Catching minnows in the waves

This ocean thing is pretty fun afterall says Coop!

Photo session under the pier

Taken with my cell phone, so I'm not sure why it uploaded so small. The 4 big boys holding hands crossing the street.

Sports Illustrated- Toddler Swimsuit Edition :)

This boy was covered from head to toe with sand. He is definately allllllllllll BOY!

The boys thought they were so cool to ride without carseats the block to and from the beach.

Bedtime story...

It doesn't get any better than this...

What's a summer vacation with 5 boys without a water gun fight?!

Cole checking out the lady bug that landed on his hand at the beach

Playing tag... I'm really pretty sure Helen and I didn't sit the whole trip!

Check out Kellen in the background

Apparently the view was pretty good from between his legs? Sometimes we wonder about you Kellen, but you sure are cute!! It's a good thing too because it took at least 3 shampoos in a row to get all the sand out of that hair!

The capturing of the minnows was definately a highlight of the trip!

What a great vacation! Helen, we had such a great time and you're boys are the absolute best. Thanks for all the memories and I can't wait to do it again :)
