We haven't been back to the zoo since Cole's 2nd birthday, so we took the opportunity of a week day when Justin was off from work to go back. Both boys had a lot of fun and it's always nice to get out and do something we don't do very often. Kellen was a handful and wanted to run everywhere, but it was so sweet watching him absorb all the new stuff he was seeing. It amazes me how independent he can be, but then minutes later will want nothing but for me to "cawy" (carry) him and love on him. Three different people during the day made comments about how Kellen ought to take a good nap after seeing him running full speed from one animal to the next.

Cole remembered being at the zoo before, but was able to understand and learn a lot more this time around. He wanted to know what every animal eats and what they were doing.
I was such a tourist, taking pictures of them on every animal statue! I couldn't resist!!

This is Kellen playing in the misting tree. It's just a place where they created a fake tree that sprays a mist to cool you off. Of all the animals at the zoo, I think this was Kellen's favorite part of the day. We had to dragggggg him away!
Cole taking a break in the stroller.

Obviously I didn't care much about getting pictures of the animals since we got some last time. The boys were looking at the babboons in this picture. Cole said, "those monkeys have red hineys!"

Poor K was getting so many teeth that his hand was in his mouth all day. Nothing slows this boy down though!
Kellen eating this apple at lunch is my favorite memory of the day. Strange, right? Maybe you'll see why...

This was Cole's favorite spot for looking at the animals.
