Summer Days

Some of my happiest memories from my childhood were of playing down by our creek. My brother and I, and our friends, would explore the woods and use our imaginations to create trails, houses, and forts. We caught frogs and crawfish, and built bridges across the creek. We played with a mud wall and navigated through briars.

It makes me so happy to see my boys spending their summer days in the same way. And what is cooler to toddler boys than catching a crawfish in your backyard creek, putting it in a bucket, and bringing it up to the house to show your Mommy!!

Thank you Justin for taking Cole and Kellen to the woods to play and be boys. I'm not quite the "nature girl" I once was :), but I remember how much joy it brought me as a kid.
