We took a hiatus from our traditional 'Saturday mornings with Gram' while the boys were playing T-ball this spring/summer, but this past Saturday we reconnected and it felt so good to be back in the swing of our family time. Breakfast is at 9am at Spinners Grill in Wake Forest and the eatin' is good! We just eat, enjoy each others company, and catch up on what's happening in everyones lives. After breakfast we walk over to Mr. Mike's Used Books and the boys pick out a couple books. After that we head over to Gram's place and the boys brighten all the little old ladies day :) They dish out high fives and hugs and let their Gram brag on and on about them while they soak it all up. It's amazing how just seeing kids around the retirement home makes everyone there so happy.

Before we go inside The Gardens at Wakefield, the boys have to check out the pond by the parking lot to see if they can hear any bullfrogs.
We can't go to Grams without feeding the fish in the pond in the garden. The same fish have been living in there since the boys were babies so we have named them and the boys love talking to them and feeding them.
Spiderman and Superman sure do love their Gram. (I miss the days when they would let me pick out their clothes!!) We are so lucky to have her and she makes 86 look damn good!
I should call it 'Saturday mornings with Gram AND Suzi' because Suzi is just as much a part of the tradition. We are just lucky enough to see her more frequently since she is our LIFE SAVING BABYSITTER!!! So so so so lucky to have her doesn't even come close to covering it.
