The 4th with friends

We spent this years 4th of July with good friends of ours, Courtney and Casey, and their kids, Emerson and Gavin.  We spent the morning at the pool wearing the kids out so they would all nap well and be rested for the evening.  The Swope fam came back over for some grilled hot dogs before we went to the fireworks show in Rolesville.  It was a nice day spent with fun friends :)

Casey promised the kids cotton candy if they were good all day.  Let's just say he delivered.  The bag Eme is holding was one of 4.  Needless to say thats what happens when you send 2 men and 4 children to get a treat!

Gavin was so cute swiping the box of sweet tarts and sneaking off with it.  I couldn't even tell him no becuase it was too cute!  This is a picture of him putting them all back in the box after they spilled while C&K shine a little light on the project. 

 Give a kid a glowstick and they are good to go

 We were so close to the fireworks that we could lay on the blanket and look straight up at them.  It was pretty neat.  K had the best seat in the house!  Daddy can't handle the flash either ;-)

I love this one because Cole is hammin' it up and E looks like she is soooo too good for this guy :)
