We did not walk into the pool even though it was raining because it had taken longer to get ready for the trip than our stay at the pool would probably last. It only rained for a few minutes, thank goodness. The amount of rain in the last day or so certainly did not increase the temperature of the pool water! Cole did not say "push" (meaning he wanted to go swing at the playground) over and over and over and over until we finally left the pool and headed over to the swings. While both my boys were swinging, I did not look down to see Kellen not looking at his feet like I thought the was, but sound asleep in his swing. (See below) On our way home from the pool, Justin did not pull over, get out of the car and get a turtle that was in the road so he could take it home and let Cole play with it. The poor turtle did not pee on my theiving husband for taking him. I did not laugh hysterically at the turtle pee on his lap and pull out the camera for evidence! I'll spare you that picure:-)
Kellen did not devour 2 containers of green beans, then sweet potatoes for dinner tonight. And I am most definately not moving on to new foods every other day rather than only introducing a new food every week or so as recommended. What kind of mother would do that? During his binge, I did not have to say to my dear Kellen "please get your foot out of your mouth while you're eating" more than once. I have never in my life seen a baby so obsessed with having his hands and feet in his mouth. Sometimes I forget what he looks like without something in his mouth. When he was finally finished eating, I did not find his sneaky big brother in the living room trying to tie Bella up with a bungy cord. Poor dog.
I went to Harris Teeter while the boys were sleeping this afternoon, and did not save 62% on my bill. I do not have a rule that I must save more than I spend. That would be impossible, right? I have also not snagged so many good deals lately that I have cereal, juice and crackers, etc. stuffed under bathroom counters and in the cabinets above my washing machine. I do not have to remind Justin constantly that stockpiling when you find good deals is necessary to maximize savings on groceries.
Here are a few pictures of our day (the first couple are yesterday at Justin's softball tournament...and yes, Cole is sitting in the dugout like he belongs there). I have a few good ones of Cole and Kellen together that I'll post maybe tomorrow since Justin is off work again. By the way, in case you weren't sure... I am not the proudest Mommy in the entire universe.
