Hill Ridge Farm 2010

We had a blast again this year at Hill Ridge Farm. My good friend, Helen, and her boys, Carter and Cooper, met us there and we had a great morning. The weather was absolutely perfect. The morning was a little crisp, but it warmed up quickly and there wasn't a cloud in sight. We started off with the huge pipe slide, and as you can see by Cole's face in this first picture, they thought it was pretty awesome :)

Helen and I had a system with her at the top sending the boys down and me at the bottom snapping pictures as they came down. Here's Cooper!
Although I have no doubt he would have slid solo, we thought it best for Kellen to ride down with either Carter or Cole. Thankfully they didn't mind the tag-a-long. Carter was so sweet, taking care of Kellen just like he was his big brother.

Of course he got to go down by himself too!
It wasn't hard to know when to snap the picture because I could hear their squeals all the way down the tunnel!

All four boys at the duck race, without ducks... we couldn't quite figure that one out.

Somehow my pictures got VERY out of order. It couldn't possibly be because I was steam cleaning the carpets, playing with Kellen, doing laundry, and trying to upload pictures all at the same time :) Regardless, my computer for some reason makes it nearly impossible (without lots of cussing) to rearrange pictures so I'm leaving them as is! These, obviously, are not my boys but I just love them and this is such a great picture of our friends Carter and Cooper that it had to make it in this post! They are going to make such great big brothers to little Hudson....any day now :)

Our attempt at a picture of us with our pumpkins (or as Kellen calls them "pongkins")

Watch as Helen captures the progression of Kellen's fall to uncooperation with the photo shoot, haha

Life is so rough buddy.

Helen trying to smuggle a 4th pumpkin back on the hayride, oh wait... that's just Hudson :)

Kellen taking a breather from the "perfect pongkin hunt" to have a seat and rest

The whole hayride to and from the pumpkin patch, Cole wanted nothing more than to sit as close to Helen as possible! Poor Cooper is trying to squeeze his way in to sit with his Mommy! Kellen, of course, tried to pick the biggest pumpkins in the field.

Cole found his!

How adorable are their shirts!? My sweet neighbor, Michelle, bought these matching shirts for the boys. They are camo with an orange border, and so stinkin cute!

Cole had to bring his "nonoculars" with us so that he could look at the trees :)

Cole looks like somebody slipped something in his juice box, but it was so nice getting a few pictures of all three of us.

Cole and Cooper hanging out in the caboose. Cooper was saying something like "hey pushy, why don't you step back and give me some space!"
Love this one!

Checking out the farm animals...
I laugh when I look at this one because it is so typical of any picture we try to get of everyone looking at the camera!

The bounce house.

I mean does he look guilty, or what?

Why a big heap of hay is so much fun for toddler boys I will never know, but they sure loved it! It made me itch just watching them.

Sorry-back to the pumpkin patch. Cooper found his pumpkin!

This picture is for the sole purpose of giving Helen a laugh, since she commented on how nice our photos were going to be with the hoopty in the background :)

Poor Cole, he HATES the sun in his eyes.

After we took the pumpkins to the car, we gave our "pumpkins" a little break with a wagon ride back into the farm for a little more fun!
